After completing his medical studies in 2005 at the University of Parma, Prof. de'Angelis obtained his specialization in General Surgery under the guidance of Prof. Franco Mosca at the University of Pisa in 2011. During her specialization she was able to carry out part of the training course at the Assistance Publique - Hôpitaux de Paris (Paris), Kings College NHS (London) and Hopital St Luc (Montréal).
Prof. de'Angelis in 2012 started one of the first programs in France of robotic digestive surgery at the Henri Mondor University Hospital in Créteil (Paris) where he was appointed Associate Professor (Maître de Conférences) in 2018. In 2022, Prof. de'Angelis became director of the Colorectal and Digestive Surgery Unit at the Nicolas Beaujon University Hospital in Clichy (Paris). In 2023, he was appointed Full Professor of Surgery at the Université Paris Cité.
